One of the most integral parts of creating your movie/website/game/etc. in Animatron is bringing together the objects you want to animate.
You can import any image you want to work with, of course - or, you can quickly and easily draw something in the program itself.
Here’s an example: we’re going to create a cat, and we’re going to make it entirely out of ovals that we’ll alter slightly with the Direct Selection tool!
First we’ll draw the body …
… And then use the Direct Selection tool to pull the nodes around and change the shape of the oval.
Then, we’ll draw another oval for the cat’s head.
We’ll add three nodes on each side of the head and pull the middle one of each group up to create the cat’s ears!
Next, we’ll draw two ovals to make the cat’s eye.
Then we can simply copy and paste the grouped ovals to make the other eye!
We’ll also add another oval to create the tail, and (just like we did for the cat’s body), use the Direct Selection tool to change the shape of the oval to look more tail-like.
Finally, we’ll use the Pencil tool to draw on some whiskers and there we have it - a cute little cat, ready to jump and play!
