We are thrilled to announce the integration of Animatron and Stepic.org! It's the start of a long and fruitful collaboration!
First, I would like to introduce Stepic to the Animatron audience. Stepic is an educational engine and platform, focused on STEM open lessons. The Stepic platform allows educators to easily create practice-oriented, interactive tutorials.
Stepic’s vision is to build a broad library of open content created and developed collaboratively by the community. Each lesson on Stepic comprises a complete concept, and the concepts are organized in a knowledge base with a unified tagging system.
Any user can create a lesson on Stepic and apply to have it included in the library. All the lessons are licenced under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0. User contributions are licensed under cc-wiki, with attribution required.
Now educators who create STEM courses on Stepic may include not only text, video, tests and quizzes, but also animated content -- that’s where Animatron comes in! -- to help explain challenging concepts like optics, physics, biology, microbiology, medicine and other STEM disciplines.
Here is a bubble sort algorithm clearly explained with animation!
Course creators may now use Animatron to provide infographics and develop interactive educational games, which will help students understand the concepts, and make learning fun and exciting.
For Animatron, this partnership with Stepic offers an opportunity to reach out to more people in the education community. This is our first step on the road to integration with the many successful, popular products in the digital world.
